PHINDYS PLACE CHALLENGE

This week's challenge at Phindy's Place is an easy one - just add ribbon.

For this post I have used BEAR HUG available here.

Thought I'd just mention that I have just invested in some Perfect matting and square to help with precision of cutting giving more uniformity to your cards.  I have to admit I found it quite difficult to cut the Co-ordinations as it is quite a heavy cardstock.  I found that the Tim Holtz craft knife wasn't very good - had more luck with my Cuttlebee knife but unfortunately I found when I went to change the blade that the screw-in part of the knife has a tiny piece broken off so now have a broken craft knife and a whole pack of replacement blades!

What a nightmare trying to get replacement blades - I think I have got half a dozen craft knifes - everytime I used all the blades up I find I can't get the replacement blades for the particular knife I have and finish up buying yet another.  Decided this time I am going to get a Stanley knife as there is never any problem getting blades to fit.  Just have to be extra careful not to lose a finger as they are extremely sharp!

Black roller ball pen
PVA glue for faux pearls

1st Edition Paper Collection

THE PIXIE COTTAGE CHALLENGE

Welcome to another challenge at the Pixie Cottage.  This week the challenge is as always either the sketch or the theme which is CUDDLY CRITTERS.  Oh my - my heart stopped I forgot to check what the theme was before making my card - My mind was definitely not on the project in hand!  What a bit of luck to find my image has a Cuddly critter on it - that was a close one!

The image is one of the background stamps from the Pixie Cottage called GLORIOUS GREENHOUSE by Artish.  I have merged the little girl digital stamp which is by Crissy Armstrong called Nose to Nose.

SWEETPEA - DUSTY ROSE

I was inspired today to use some Aqua papers I was using for another Challenge.  Liking the colours I decided to do several images in the same colour scheme and see how different I could make them.

The first stamp image I used was ©Joanne Schempp's Dusty Rose.     I chose Dusty Rose as I had already stamped it and started colouring the skin tones.  Not being sure whether I was happy with my colouring it had been left unfinished.  So after colouring several images in colours matching my papers and liking the results I decided to continue colouring this one the same!

I hope you like it and feel inspired too!  There are lots of gorgeous stamps to chose from at Sweetpea stamps so why not pop over and take a look.

ON THE POT

Having had some help from my team members of Phindy's challenge with colouring different skin colours - I decided to get the African American version of ON THE POT to practice colouring darker skin tones.  I printed out four images, this one was the first of the four I coloured.

I quite liked how her skin tones turned out of this one.  Such a cute fun image from Mo's Digital Pencil called as mentioned above ON THE POT C.
