Happy New Year and welcome to another challenge at Ladybug Crafts.  This month's challenge is anything but a CARD.

I decided to make a book using a image I won prior to Christmas - thought this image would make a good Note Book to jot down anything really. hence the sentiment which goes with the image Bewildered.

MY HUSBANDS CHRISTMAS CARD

This is the Christmas card I made for my Husband.  I adored this vintage photo and had been longing to use it for some time but with not being very well and not in the crafting mood I haven't got around to making the effort to use it.

I used stickles to add a glitter embellishment to her dress and give it more of a Christmas' feel.

I was quite pleased with the finished card which I don't say very often!

Stamps:  Free Vintage image, Digital Sentiment from Cuddly Buddly

Papers: So sorry unsure now - I know I should have made a note at the time.  Plus Silver mirri, Cream cardstock

MERRY CHRISTMAS

This image is one from a card I make when I first started crafting.  I dismantled the card as I loved this image and thought I could make it look much better than my original attempt.

I found a paper pad I'd have forever - or that's how it seems!  The papers just never seemed to fit any of my projects until now.  The papers were just perfect for this image and even the colours matched the image.

Techniques:

Image:  Can't remember - but beautiful image - the original I guess must be absolutely stunning

Medium:    Stickles glitter glue

Papers: Old paper pad, Silver Mirri and Cream cardstock

Dies used:   Spellbinders fancy frame die, Memory box Snowflake border, Marianne Snowflake dies
Embellishments:   Chipboard flower, Ribbon bow, Clear gems, Pearl brads, Ticket sentiment

HUGS!

Have looked at the Teddy Bo stamps more than once but I have resisted the temptation to purchase especially as I have draws full of stamps as yet un-inked.

Having got the crafting bug back asked myself what images did I feel inspired to use and guess the Teddy Bo ones came up trumps especially as they have a sale on currently.  Still I managed to select half a dozen or so I really wanted to use and have several coloured up ready to make into Christmas cards.

The stamp image was not the first one I coloured but it was the first one to be made into a card.  I took my images and found papers I thought would work well with the images.  This one jumped straight out at me so was the first to be done.

Once again I have used the same colour palette for this one and the next three cards I post featuring stamps from Teddy Bo.  I like to do this when feeling inspired and I guess being a bit lazy too as I don't have to think too hard about what colour combinations etc.  This usually works well when I don't choose the papers first.

Techniques:

Stamps:   Digital - Teddy Bo - main image
Digital - Sentiments - Cuddly Buddly

Medium:   Copics, Glamour dust glitter, Sakura glitter pens, Stickles glitter glue, PVA pearl glue
Papers:    Kanban free papers (with magazine), Silver and white cardstock

Embossing folders:    Spellbinders (tree)
Dies used:   Marianne tree, drips, poinsetta (for leaves) and swirl flower,  Spellbinders Reindeer and Frame, Martha Stewart leaf punch
Embellishments:   Various flowers, Various brads, Pearls

CHRISTMAS IS COMING!

What do you know - today I got back my joy of crafting - this was the first day in months that I really felt inspired to craft because I wanted to and not because I had projects that needed to be completed for challenge teams.

I had been wanting to get some digital stamps from Cuddly Buddly for some time now but have been fighting against spending any more money especially as I haven't been spending much time crafting for various reasons.

I picked out a couple of digital stamps drawn by Karen Middleton - both deers ideal for this time of year.

Techniques:

Stamps:  Digital stamps - Cuddly Buddly - deer and sentiments

Medium:  Copics, Martha Stewart fine glitter, Stickles, PVA pearl glue, Liquid chalk for sky, Sakura Stardust pen, Black roller ball
Papers:   Free papers from Kaiser Crafts, White cardstock, Silver mirri

Dies used:
Spellbinders main frame and snowflake, Magnolia snowflake and border die, Marianne frame, poinsettia (use for leaves) and border dies
Embellishments:
Various flowers, pearl pins, pearl, pearl brads, ribbon and bow

SWEETPEA DT INSPIRATION

Another week and another project to share with you.  This morning I finished colouring my image but as I couldn't find the paper pad I had put to the side to use I used this Christmas pad of papers which were free with a magazine.

Everything went well and I soon got colouring finished.  Unfortunately, I just couldn't get any inspiration from the design papers I had chosen and I pulled apart my project two or three times before abandoning.

Later after a break and a bite to eat I returned to my craft area managing to juggle my way through a mine field of papers, die-cut and piles of things stacked high covering the whole table area ready for finishing tidying my Craft room.  It may now to tidy again - that is apart from the table top - although I have no idea where I've put things.  I had to use my Sizzix die cutter with a broken plate, couldn't find the embossing mat so had to manage without it - have no idea where I have put the plates for my Spellbinders die cutter!

Back to the topic in hand - I used one of Elisabeth Bell's gorgeous stamps called Winter Penelope, available here.

I used a silver sakura pen to accentuate the little girls fur edging and then added some Stickles glitter glue to add a wintery feel.

Techniques:

Medium:   Copics Markers, Silver Sakura pen, Stickles glitter glue
Papers:     Free papers, Gold cardstock

Dies used:  Marianne flourishes and flower dies, Magnolia Snowflake and border dies, Large Spellbinders die (coated with micro=beads), Die-namics swirl flowers

Embellishments:
Clear gems, fabric brad, Various flowers

PS.  For all you Christmas lover's I've just put up my Christmas tree and decorations.  I have never before put them up as early as 1st December but as I didn't bother last year due to illness I'm making up for it now!

CHRISTMAS PRESENT EMBELLISHMENT

I'm trying to sort the room I craft in again - I spend so much time organising and re-organising in the hope of keeping the room somewhere near tidy.  It's a NIGHTMARE!

Today after making a Christmas tag for the Sweetpea Dt Inspiration Blog I felt really inspired to finish colouring these gorgeous images from, once again Mo's Digital Pencil.  I thought I'd have a go at making a Present Embellishment rather than a tag - the idea being that as more and more of us our giving our present in boxes rather than wrapping paper I would add an embellishment to the box which could be used again.

Not being organised enough to have a present ready for wrapping I have just placed the embellishment on a box lid to give an idea - although much more can be done with it when properly arranged and gifted.

Having finished this the kaos in the room is terrifing - Oh well guess will just have to start again but at least I have several storage draws sorted so it's just a case of putting the embellishments, ribbons etc etc back in the right storage bins/baskets.  The rest of the sorting and tidying will have to wait for another day - a girl could only do so much at a time without becoming totally overwhelmed and at least the rest of the house is looking good!

Techniques:
USED: Stamps - digital - Mo Manning

Medium:
Copics, Sakura Star dust pen, Martha Stewart glitters, PVA pearl glue for faux pearls
Papers:
Kay and Co value pack, Acetate,

Dies used:
McGills Flower punches
Embellishments:
Petaloo flowers, gem brads, clear gems,  Gem pins, Feathers (Recycling ribbon from candle, Diamante cirle - old earring.)
