DO YOU LOVE CHRISSY ARMSTRONG'S DIGITAL IMAGES?

If the answer's yes then what are you waiting for!  DT CALL currently going on at SUNDAYS WITH CRISSY.

As I've said in my previous posts I would love the opportunity to be part of this talented design team and who wouldn't want to be able to use Chrissy's images - I for one do better work when using stamps that inspire me.  I am finding that I want to push my boundaries and aim higher to achieve cards I'm really proud of.  Being fairly new to Card Crafting everything I do is fresh and new which is one of the wonderful things about crafting, there is always more techniques to try and always skills to improve on.

After spending nearly 3 hours trying to get my sewing machine to work (bobbin threading) last night - that's what happens when you haven't used your machine for over 4 years!  Decided to use this technique again before putting machine away.

Thought I'd try colouring dark skin for this project which I find extremely hard to do!  I thought I'd cracked it once but forgot what colours I used and have never hit upon the combo since!  I went for the pinky browns for Maya's skin tone which I think gives a softer look.

In my eagerness to get myself noticed and hopefully be picked to join Chrissy's team I have been trying lots of different techniques and really pushing the boat out so if you score points for effort then I'm way up there!

To date I have attempted reptile skin and  a lighter africian skin tone which has definitely stretched me as I found both quite difficult to do but being determined I persevered.  Machine sewing which was a biggie for me as I haven't used my sewing machine for several years and a bit more layering than I'm used too.  I've also changed the way I do things by finding the papers I want to use first instead of colouring image and then looking for papers that will match!  I've had a go at dying ribbon with distressing inks which is a technique used on this card.

Included both photo's - light one is too light - not like original.  Darker one is more true but not sure if detail show up.
