PAPERPLAY CHALLENGE Hearts and flowers not Valentine

This week's challenge is "Hearts and Flowers - not Valentine" and is being sponsored by Walzing Mouse.  What a fabulous versatile challenge!

For this Challenge I had a fabulous stamp in mind - It is called "WELCOME" by Stitchy Stamps and is available in digi format here.

Techniques:

Image:  The digi comes with just an outline (3 sides), using straight lines I added a Window sill and brickwork.

Medium used:  Copics, Prisma pencils, gouache

Distressing:  paper tearing.

Papers:  Marianne collection - Christmas (brown and teal leaf), Quitoxic Paperie (Script), Black cardstock (WHS)
Embellishments:  Transfers: (Part of a paper pack) Swirl/flourishes, hearts and sentiment

Hope you like my take on this week's theme.Best wishes,

LOVE YOU

Awake now so posting last of four Sarah Kaye cards.

I'd forgot I have this stamp and so as Valentine and love are the theme of the week, thought this would fit in well for all those animal lovers out there!

Techniques:

Medium:    Copics and prisma pencils.  Black fine liner to create the border.

Papers:     Patterned papers (Create and Craft), Plain cardstock  (Crafters Companion)

Embellishments:  Fabric brads, glitter acetate heart

I kepted this card clean and simple so that the backing paper could be seen.

JUST FOR YOU

Well it's 8.30a.m. and I'm really flagging now so once I've posted this my 4th card will have to wait until later - after I've crashed out for a few hours.

Once again this is another of the Sarah Kaye fabulous stamps but I can't remember the name of it - too tired now to think!

Techniques:

Medium:   Copics and prisma pencils.

Papers:    Pattern papers (QVC), Plain cardstock (Crafters Companion)
Embellishments:  Faux card brads, pink hearts (QVC)

I quite liked the idea of using the mono-tones of the main images with just an accent of another colour.  I really liked how the red looked so vibrant against the darker tones.

FIRST KISS

It's the 9 February only a couple of days until Valentine and it seem's everyone has got the bug to create a Love or Valentine card.

I have chosen one of the Sarah Kaye stamps I have and haven't used for some time so thought I give my crafting room a bit of a blitz and get out the Sarah Kaye stamps.

The image is my favourite stamp by Sarah Kaye and what better than using her stamp called "FIRST KISS".

Techniques:

Medium:  Copics and prisma pencils.  Gold calligraphy pen for border edging and a fine black liner for creating the pattern effect.

Papers:  The papers were some from Create and Craft I had a part of a unseen multi-buy.  I had no idea of whether I would ever find a use for this paper depicting brickwork and a rusty metal door.  But I thought it works well with the coloured image.  The plain cardstock was from Crafters Companion.
Dies used:  Were all from the Marianne range of dies.

Punch:     I used a EK Success border punch for border.
Embellishments:  Pink heart, Tiny paper flowers and sequin flowers (QVC).  Flat back pearls (Quitoxic Paperie)

I hope you like the way this turned out as a different take on the traditional valentine cards.
