I have struggled with the photo's of this card as the camera seems to wash out the colour, so I have added two samples of the same photo as the true likeness is somewhere in the middle and either reflect tones correctly on there own.

This is the 3rd of the new stamp set from Sugar Nellies called JOY and I've coloured again with copics and polychromos pencils.

I used some papers from my paper stash from Quitoxic Paperie and Crafters Companion.  To create the frame I used a spellbinders die.  The flourishes were cut with Marianne dies and embellished with flowers from Wildorchid.

To complete this card I used ribbon, sequins, gems and corner peel-offs.

Hope you like how I've coloured this little girls - I wanted it to have the look of a pastel drawing.

Thanks for looking, please let me a comment.

Best wishes,  Sharon

PS  Time's ticking away again so will post coloured image with prisma's tomorrow.

Well having stayed up all night last night changing and modifying my blog I should ready be in bed now as its 2 a.m. and I am on my second night of not going to bed, but I can't stop until I've at least posted this post.

I like a lot of crafters have been waiting for the new release of these adorable stamps from Funky Kits - Sugar Nellies for a couple of reasons.  First they are incredibly cute and adorable as there namesake.  Secondly I have just recently bought some prisma and polychromos pencils and have been trying to master some of the techniques of using with copic markers my favourite colouring medium and these stamp are idea as the shading is marked.  Thirdly I have always wanted to do an art course but for one reason or another have never achieved.  I have done a couple of recreational courses and loved to paint all my life but did spent alot of time painting and drawing when my son was small.  My favourite subject is portraits.

Getting back to this project I used one of the four new stamps - GRACIE  (all which I have all 4 - one more ready to post tomorrow -VERITY!)  I used copics, and mainly polychromos pencils with this image (the one to post tomorrow I used more prisma pencils).

The backing papers were ones I had from Quitoxic Paperie and I've forgotten the name of this set.  I used silver mirri and a pale pink cardstock for the mats and edged the frames with a silver calligraphy pen.

I added ribbon (large multi set from QVC), flowers (Wildorchid) and pearls (Quitoxic Paperie).
I create the doily flower using a Magnolia die and the same design paper plus some parchment paper.

Hoping you will be able to follow my progress with using copics and pencils.  Many thanks for looking, please leave me a comment and hopefully I can visit you.

Best wishes
