ELISABETH BELL STAMPS AVAILABLE ONLY FROM SWEETPEA STAMPS

Over on the Sweetpea DT blog this week Elisabeth Bell is being showcased as the Spotlight artist.

My first two cards are from Elisabeth Bell's first collection of rubber stamps - all available as single stamps. There are three to chose from - I've used two of them and have the third one on order.

The first one is called Kiki with Dolly and is just so cute. I just had to have this one! It's wonderful how stamps can invoke memories and this one makes me smile as my son loved the beach when he was small.

I have tried to create the feeling of summer holidays using a number of dies - such as Film strip and ticket dies as well as the flowers and flourishes.

USED:

Card 2

The next one is called Little Curls and has to be my most wanted stamp - having seen it as a pencil sketch. I was just so pleased when it was made into a rubber stamp and had to use it straight away!

I'm not sure why I found it so compelling - maybe it's the wonder of being young and full of wonder! Or my son wouldn't thank me for saying he had the most wonderful curly hair
which he still has of course and had he been a girl could have have his hair styled just like this!

Techniques:
USED:
Stamps: Little Curls
Papers used: Kanban
Medium:
Copics and S/Noir pens
Black roller ball pen
Liquid chalk - blue ink pad for clouds
Prisma and Polychromo pencils
white gel pen

Papers:
As above
All others Crafters Companion

Dies used:
Spellbinders - circle fancy dies
Floral flourish - Marianne dies
Flourish - Magnolia die
Tiny butterfly - waste from Spellbinders die
Embellishments:
Papermania flowers
Metal and faux brads
3D sticker - Butterfly
Bow

And now the finished card. I hope you think I have done this fabulous stamp justice!

And these are the latest collection of stamps by Elisabeth Bell available here at Sweetpea stamps.

This one is called Sweet is Summer and is available as a single stamp.

Again what can I say about this beautiful image - another one I was waiting for!

I love this image and how versatile it is to use by just changing the colour scheme and you have a totally different looking project. I love the bright vibrant colours you get in the summer and appear on swimming costumes - probably the only time we wear such bright colours together!

SUNDAYS WITH CRISSY - CHALLENGE #22

What a couple of week's this has been!  I usually like to have my card and post up and ready in lots of time but unfortunately it hasn't happened this time!

So this month's challenge at SUNDAYS WITH CRISSY is THANKS GIVING or THANK YOU.  I hate to be ignorant but I don't know what the celebration Thanks Giving is for!  I did think perhaps it was celebrating Indepentance Day but that's the 4th July, then I wondered if it was something to do with the Pilgrim Fathers!  So I don't rightly know - so I am sticking with THANK YOU which is far more generic.

I have used SWEET SARAH available from WHIMSY STAMPS singularly or as part of a set.

Techniques:
USED:
Stamps: Digi stamp -
Papers used: Kanban

Medium:
Copics and Spectrum Noir
Polychromo and Prisma pencils
PVA Cosmic Shimmer glue - faux pearls
Liquid chalk - sky
Sukura pen
Black roller pen
White gel pen

As above
