DIGITAL TUESDAY (Shades of grey)

Welcome to this week's challenge which has been chosen by me - Shades of grey plus one accent colour (skin tones allowed).  Two things to share with you.  Firstly this is my first challenge as such and secondly the theme came about a couple of weeks ago when I was colouring and liked the look of the grey tones with a bright blue.

For this challenge I'm using one of the Sweetpea stamps by Caron Vinson.  I've coloured her with copics and polychromos pencils.

Backing papers:  Grey (Crafters Companion), Mirri Silver (Create and Craft), Black (WHS)

Embellishments:  Flowers (Wildorchid), gems (Quitoxic Paperie), Leaves and gems (large) (QVC), Tiny gems (Glitter Girls), Ribbon (Crafting stash)

Dies:  Swirls (Marianne Collection)
Sentiment:  digital
Thanks for looking and please visit the other DT for more inspiration.  Have fun.

This week's theme at Creative Card Crew is "Pink and Purple" - such a great combination and some many shades of those two colours to use!

I used Blue/Violet (Purple) and very pale red to create (Pink)

The stamp used for this creation is a digi stamp from The Stitchy Bear and I did it Creations Crafting Boutique by Bonne Kelly and although she is "Libra - zodiac" and I'm not a believer of zodiac signs I think this works so well for so many occasions.  Great for Men's and Women's cards.

I used copics and polychromos pencils to colour this image and highlight with gouache.  I used a fine black liner for the border around the image.

The pattern paper was from a paper pack from Quitoxic Paperie and the other cardstock was all from Crafters Companion.

Dies:  Nesties for the aperature (under the flowers)

Embellishments:  Faux brads, Flowers and clear gem flourish.

I've enjoyed this challenge and I hope you do too!

I coloured this image yesterday but couldn't make up my mind about her face - I thought it was over-worked!  Anyhow thought I'd use my Schulz ink spray (pearl) to see if this would recified her face - I just thought it looked flat!  Hence the photo's - I have tried to show the pearlised effect in the light and the look you'd get when the light wasn't catching the pearl sparkle.

I liked this image from Bonna Kelly although it was labelled "Pisces" it did put me off a little, am I do not have anything to do with horoscopes, fortune telling etc. I thought it was just a gorgeous Mermaid image and probably if I was using again I would possibly remove the tatoo on her bottom - have no idea what it says!  Hopefully just PISCES.

Moving on - I coloured with copics and polychromos pencils.  I used a fine liner pen to create the border giving it more of a swiggle to reflect waves (of the sea).

Papers:  Pattern papers were either from QVC or Quitoxic Paperie.  Plain cardstock - Crafters Companion.
Dies used: Magnolia Swirl, Cuttlebug corner
Embellishments: Flat back pearls (Quitoxic Paperie), Button (from my Soft Furnishing Chair I covered), Flower (Petaloo - from QVC)

Hope like me you like this image and what I've done with it - my favourite bit has to be, the left over button from my bedroom chair.  Just loved  the Mother-of-pearl effect - perfect for a Mermaid!

It's time for another challenge at "Pile it ON" and this week's theme is "PUNCH IT" - an easy challenge I hear you say!  You would think so, but not for me this week - usually have no problems punching something to add to project.  Struggled with this - 1st image couldn't get to work, finished up cutting to much off and ruining.  2nd image I chose I had previously coloured and thought would replace image had ruin - like it would be that easy!  No that didn't work either.  Running out of time found another image had coloured a couple of week's ago.  Decided to run with this one.

This image is a digi from Mo Manning's Digital Pencil and was coloured with copics and polychromos pencils.  I edged the main image with a silver calligraphy pen and did the same with the next layer.

Papers:  Cardstock all from Crafters Companions besides black card which was from WHSmith
Embossing folders:  Cuttlebug edge folder (swirls), (flowers - used twice)
Dies used:  Nesties - Ovals
Embellishments:  Ribbon, bow, pearls and teddy gem.

This week's challenge is Sponsored by Bunny Zoe Crafts - $10 store voucher and the theme is Layer it Up - use lots of layers on your project .

For this challenge I used a digi stamp from Crafts and Me by the artist Sara Burrier.  This one is called "NOON" and she adorable - so many cute stamps available at the moment - how do we choose!

I coloured this image with copics and polychromos pencils, edging the frame with a silver calligraphy pen.  I used a silver glitter pen to highlight the wings and then glittered with some glamour dust to the wings and parts of the angels wings.
The aperatures were cut using 2 of the nesties dies and the papers were from some papers I had either from Quitoxic Paperie or QVC.  The plain cardstock was from Crafters Companion.
Embellishments:  Clear gem flourishes, clear gems, ribbon, bow, butterfly and charm.

Hope you like this card and especially the beautiful image - I will definitely be looking out for more of the super talented Sara Burrier's wonderful images.

Have been using some of the Bonna's designs lately and this is another of her Kelly's Kids digital images.  I must admit I added the costumn for drawing a couple of lines across her body.

I coloured the image with copics and polychromos pencils.  I used stickles on the shell and costumn.  A fine liner created the border.

Papers:  Crafters Companion
Embossing:   Cuttlebug folders - edge border
                        Cuttlebug folder - swirls
Embellishments:  Ribbon, bow, sequins and gems.

For this post I used another of  Bonna Kelly's digital stamps called "Capricorn" from the Stitchy Bear and I did it Creations Crafting Boutique.  I didn't like the horns on the mermaids head so I removed them and added a Bikini top by just drawing a pencil line across the bust.

I used copics and polychromos pencils to coloured this image.  I used a black gel black to enhance the hair texture and colour.  I used two different stickles glitter glue on the tail and used a glitter pen on the fins - adding a small amount of stickles to the fins to enhanse the sparkle.  I used a gold glitter pen to colour the bikini top.

As the image was bold along with the colouring I didn't think it needed any extra colour so I embossed some white card and used.  I also used a white texture cardstock for the matting.

Embossing folders (Cuttlebug)  1 edge flourish border
                                                       swirl folder
Used Mandala board - diamond crafts

Dies used:  Magnolia doily flower die
                     Cuttlebug corner die

Embellishments:  Ribbon, bow, pearls

I really like this image and hope you like what I've done with it.

Challenge #95 Sketch by Natascha (sponsor: stamp fairy)

For this week's challenge I used a digi stamp from Crafts and Me called "Dusk".  I coloured her with copics and polychromos pencils.  I used a silver calligraphy pen to edge the image.  I added glamour dust to the wings, dress and rabbits.

The backing papers were from Quitoxic Paperie and the plain cardstock was from Crafters Companion.

I used Spellbinders dies to cut the hearts and emboss, a border die and a spellbinder label die for the sentiment.

Embellishments:  clear gem flourishes, pink pearls, clear gems and a pink gem for the centre of the heart.

I have adored using this digi stamp and hope I've inspired you to get out your fairy/angel stamps - both rubber and digi.

Best wishes

This week's challenge is ANYTHING GOES although you must use a DIGI somewhere on your project - so why not take a look at the Stitchy Bear and I did it Creations Crafting Boutique and be inspired!

This week I've been spoilt and have had the chance to use one of the new and amazing stamps by Bonne Kelly from The Stitchy Bear and I did it Creations Crafting Boutique.

This stamp is called "Virgo" but as I'm not into astrolIogy I have used it as a card for a boyfriend/husband etc and  coloured this stamp with copics and polychromos pencils.

The papers are from QVC and Crafters Companion and I just liked the dramatic blue/black with the pink of the girl's clothing.

I used a xyron runner to print the sentiment and drew a border to edge it.

Embellishments:  Clear gem flourishes, faux brads and layered flower.

Hope you like my design as I really enjoyed experimenting with gouache and playing around with the flourishes etc.  Do join in with this week's birthday celebrations and may be it might be you winning one of the prizes on offer this week.

Best wishes,

This is my first card for OSAAT challenge this week featuring one of the Kenny K digital images.  This is a super easy challenge as its ANYTHING GOES as long as there is a digital image somewhere on your project.

The  Kenny K's  image I have worked with is called "DRAMA QUEEN"  - hopefully I have nothing in common with a Drama Queen!!  Icoloured with copics and polychromos pencils.

I used a template to paper pierce the borders on the image.

I used a gold calligraphy pen to edge all the mats before layering up.  The paperstock was from QVC and Crafters Companion.

Dies:  Magnolia Doily flower dies  (glitter cardstock - freebies with crafting orders)

Embellishments:  Fabric brad.

I hope to you like this and feel free to leave me a comment.

Best wishes and good luck to those of you entering this week's challenge.

I was sat up all night one day last week when I couldn't sleep and had Create and Craft on in the background.  Suddenly my attention was caught by some old seaside images being shown.  Well that was it - straight on to webpage to order.  Out of STOCK came up to my dismay... not being able to except my disappointment on to Joanna Sheen's website and walla.. ordered and as you can see - received!!!

This image is called "Seahorse" (probably because the stamp comes with a seahorse and tent) and is part of the "All our Yesterdays" stamps (12) collection by Faye Whittaker.

I coloured with copics and polychromos pencils and left the sentiment as part of the stamp (although can be cut off and used separately which I will probably do in the future).

The papers were part of a paper pack from Quitoxic Paperie and Crafters Companion.

Embellishments:  Faux brads, Ribbon and bow, Flower with button (all from QVC)

Hope you like this collection of stamps as much as I do.

For this project I wanted to try a Monochrome card using one of the Sweet Adorable stamps from Sugar Nellies.

I used copics and polychromos to colour this image.

I riped out the middle of the cardstock to create a frame ane embossed with a Cuttlebug folder.  I used an ink pad to distress the torn edges.

The flourish was cut using a Magnolia die.

The embellishments were faux brads and flowers.

Challenge #buttons real or faux

For this project I used a stamp from Sugar Nellies, Home Grown range (Autumn kit) and coloured with copics and polychromos pencils.  I used a fine liner pen to create the border.

The backing papers were from my stash ( I think Quitoxic Paperie) and the plain cardstock was from Crafters Companion.

I used spellbinders to cut the leaves and added pearls and ribbons to complete the project.

This has been an eventful week, computer has been playing up so have been unable to get much done due to the length of time its taken trying to get things to load.  Everything working fine now so hopefully will be able to catch up!

Up until 4.00 am. this morning and woken up by Postman at 9.00 a.m. so will probably dose off at some point this morning - hoping to post three cards made last night!

For this project I decided to use a stamp I haven't used for a time from Sugar Nellies Home Grown range of stamps.

I coloured with copics and polychromo pencils.  I used a gold calligraphy pen to edge the image.

The papers were from my card stash (I think from QVC) and the plain cardstock was from Crafters Companion.

All the embellishments were also from QVC  (petaloo flower, flower, faux brads, gems)

The flourish was cut with a Magnolia die.

Challenge this week is Men's cards.

For this challenge I used a stamp I had coloured some time ago with copics but had never used.  Not being very well and leaving until the last minute - it made sense to use it.
I used cardstock from Crafters Companion and the matching papers for the stamp (CD digital papers).

Being a male card I didn't want to make it too fussy so I added faux brads and a couple of gems.

Luckily for me this was a quick and easy card so I could go back to being ill quite quickly!!!

Hope you like and please don't forget to check out the other DT's fabulous work.
