Well it's here, Mo Manning's DT call and like everyone else I have my fingers and toes crossed and have asked everyone I know to cross their's for me too.  Here's hoping!

As the challenge states that you can only enter one card I decided to use the image that I most wanted to use today, which as it turns out is "Shall I play for you" one of her newer images.  I don't know why I chose this one in preference to many of her other stamps I love and have - all I can say is I saw it and had to have it!

For this project I used papers from my paper stash (a mixture of accummulated papers) and gold cardstock from Create and Craft.

The image as stated above is "Shall I play for you" and I coloured with copics and spica pens.  I photocopied the coloured image as I decided I wanted to make a mask.  I cut out the photocopy image without damaging the printed copy so that I could use as an apperature.  After placing the apperature page over the image I sprayed with varnish to give just the image a glossy shine.  When image was fully dry I removed protective paper and used a fine liner pen to create the border.

I used the following dies

  • Marianne - Christmas tree, poinsettia and fir branch.
  • Magnolia - doily label

I used embroidery thread and added beads to the Christmas.  The doily label was cut using shrink plastic.  I added the sentiment before shrinking.  Once the shrink plastic was cool I used a gold leaf pen for the edges.

I addedd ribbon, bow, charm, petoo flower and pearls to complete.

Hope you like it, best wishes,
