Reflective

Challenge # Martine's sketch   http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.com/
Challenge #22 Button me a Bow   http://cookingitupwithkatie.blogspot.com/
Challeng # 9 Paper piercing  http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.com/

For this project I used a Sugar Nellies image from the "Home Grown" range called "Reflective".  The image was coloured with copics and the flower petals were coloured using gel pens.

The sketch below was used for the design.  The papers were from My Craft Studio and Joanna Sheen CD Roms.  The plain blue paper was from Crafter's Companion.

To complete the project I used a Martha Stewart punch for two edges of imageand paper piercing.  Finally the embellishments were flowers, brad button, pearl bead ribbon, and plain blue ribbon.

Best wishes, Sharon

Challenge #68  Sketch  http://stampwithfun.blogspot.com/
Challenge #18 stitching    http://lexiscreations.blogspot.com/
Challenge #3  stitching   http://stampandcreateblog.blogspot.com/

For this project I chose a Sugar Nellie image, one of the "Home Grown" range, this one is called "Fragile Beauty".  The sketch I used is from this week's stampwithfun challenge.

I coloured this image with copics.  The backing papers were from Crafter's Companion and a CD Rom of Joanna Sheen's.  I used a Martha Stewart punch to punch the decorative edge of the image.  I used a copic fine liner pen for the faux stitching effect around the border of the image.

To embellish the card I added ribbons, flowers, pearls and beads.

Best wishes, Sharon

Challenge #  It's Sketch Time   http://creativecardcrew.blogspot.com/
Challenge #100  Blue and White   http://everybody-art-challenge.blogspot.com/

For this challenge I chose a Sugar Nellie image by once again Elizabeth Bell - I love how she captures children and manages to invoke some memories of my child and other relatives.

The sketch I used was from creative card crew blog and the colour theme was for Everybody.. challenge blog.

I coloured the image with copics my current favourite medium and used a gel pen to highlight the gems on the girl's top.  I used a Marianne die to cut the image and managed to keep all the cut-out bits in place.  I used a spray glue so that the cut outs will stay in place.  I liked this idea for a change.

The papers were from Crafters Companion and I've forgot which CD I got the circle paper from.  To finish my project I added some gems.

Hope you like,  Sharon
